Role: Year 2 Teacher

Schedule: Full Time

Location: Kirkby (L33)

Start Date: October 2025

Duration: Temporary

Pay Rate: £120 - £232.56 per day (depending on experience)

A welcoming, one-form entry school located in the heart of Kirkby, Merseyside, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from October.

Its broad and engaging curriculum focuses on developing the whole child, with a strong emphasis on early literacy, numeracy, and fostering a lifelong love of learning.

You will create a positive and stimulating classroom environment, promote high standards of behaviour, and maintain excellent communication with parents and colleagues. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a sound understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum. They will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners, using effective assessment to inform their teaching and support pupil progress.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A secure understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, including end-of-KS1 assessments
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to wider school life and team planning
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all pupils
