A vibrant school in Abingdon is seeking a committed Year 2 German Teacher to inspire young learners starting May 2025. We are seeking a committed and dedicated Year 2 German Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young learners and cultivate a love for languages at an early age. Beginning May 2025.
Duties as a Year 2 German Teacher:
Teach German to Year 2 pupils, delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports all pupils.
Develop pupils’ speaking, listening, reading, and basic writing skills in German.
Monitor progress and provide feedback in line with school policies.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver a broad curriculum.
Ideal Year 2 German Teacher:
Be passionate about language teaching and early years education.
Have experience teaching German to young children (preferably in a primary setting).
Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills as a Year 2 German Teacher.
Be flexible, organised, and enthusiastic.
Be a committed educator with a dedicated approach to pupil progress and wellbeing.
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
