Job description

We are seeking a passionate and flexible Year 2/3 Teacher to lead a mixed-age class for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain experience across Key Stages 1 and 2. The successful candidate will create a nurturing learning environment that meets the needs of pupils at different stages of development.

Duties as Year 2/3 Teacher:
  1. Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in line with both KS1 and lower KS2 curricula
  2. Adapt teaching strategies to support a mixed-age cohort
  3. Monitor pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  4. Foster a classroom culture of positivity, independence, and mutual respect
  5. Work collaboratively with colleagues across both key stages
  6. Build effective relationships with parents and carers
Ideal Year 2/3 Teacher:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  2. Experience teaching in KS1 and/or KS2; mixed-age class experience is desirable but not essential
  3. Strong organisational and classroom management skills as a Year 2/3 Teacher
  4. Ability to plan engaging cross-curricular units
  5. A proactive, reflective, and adaptable approach to teaching
