Job description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Year 2/3 Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire pupils at a key point in their primary education, helping them to build strong foundations for future learning. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Year 2/3 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 and lower KS2 curriculum.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages all pupils to achieve their best.

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching to meet varying needs.

  • Maintain excellent classroom management and build positive relationships with pupils and families.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school, including trips, clubs, and events.

  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.

Ideal Year 2/3 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Experience teaching in KS1 and/or lower KS2 is desirable.

  • Good knowledge of the Year 2 and Year 3 curriculum, including phonics, early literacy, and numeracy.

  • Strong communication, organisational and classroom management skills as a Year 2/3 Teacher.

  • A nurturing, positive, and adaptable approach to teaching.
