Hays Recruitment is working in partnership with a primary school in Wirral to find a motivated and reliable teaching assistant to support a Year 2 student on a 1:1 basis. This is a long-term role until the end of the academic year, with potential for extension into the next academic year.
Your new role
In this role, you will support a Year 2 student on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day. Your duties will include classroom support and booster sessions in core subjects as needed. You will collaborate closely with the class teacher to ensure that learning materials are inclusive and accessible, tailored to meet the student's needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing challenging behaviors through de-escalation techniques, distraction, or removing the student from the classroom when necessary.
