This full-time Learning Support Assistant role involves 1:1 work with a Year 2 child in a nurturing primary setting in the Sheffield S20 area. Starting immediately and running through July, this post may be extended into the new academic year.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support in lessons, activities, and break times

  • Using tailored strategies to support learning and emotional development

  • Encouraging classroom participation with gentle reinforcement

  • Supporting behaviour management plans and safe de-escalation

  • Logging progress and working closely with school staff

To succeed in this role:

  • Experience with SEN, particularly 1:1 support

  • Good understanding of primary education needs

  • Resilient, calm, and enthusiastic approach

  • DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
