Year 1 Teaching Assistant

£425-450 per week (depending on experience/qualifications)

About the Role

Connex Education are working exclusively with a fantastic primary school located in the Wavertree area of South Liverpool. This school is seeking a committed and experience teaching assistant to join their Year 1 class on a full-time basis from September 2025. This role will include a mixture of general support and 1:1 support with SEN children.

A supportive two form entry school who have an experience teami in their KS1 cohort, made up of excellent teachers and support staff. All staff at the school aim to provide pupils with a nurturing and engaging learning environment. Qualifications and requirements:

• Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable, however those with relevant school experience, will be considered.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to adapt to different learning.
• Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, preferably based in Y1.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN desirable.
• It is essential that you have a DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain a new one through Connex.
