Job Description:

Wayman Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Year 1 Teacher to join a reputable primary school in Whittlesey , Cambridgeshire, East of England from April 2024. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching in a Year 1 setting. Aside from that, the successful Year 1 Teacher will work collaboratively with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.

Responsibilities of a Year 1 teacher:

· As a Year 1 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 1, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

· Teaching the Key Stage 1 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses

· Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry

· Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.

· Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents
