Job description

Wayman Education is working with a remarkable primary school based in Hackney, seeking a proactive and emotionally intelligent Year 1 Teacher.

Responsibilities of a Year 1 Teacher:

• Responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 1, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
• Teach the Key Stage 1 curriculum to groups of children while focusing on individual learning targets, encouraging strengths, and improving weaknesses.
• Develop maths abilities and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
• Help children develop their writing skills by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
• Track children's progress and report back to parents when necessary.
