Job description

Wayman Education is working with a vibrant and fun primary school based in Slough seeking a proactive and emotionally intelligent KS1 Teacher to start work in April 2024.

The children are hardworking, caring, inquisitive, and imaginative. The staff here aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through a supportive pastoral environment. As a result, we are seeking a primary teacher who knows how to drive attainment and create engaging lessons.

Responsibilities of a KS1 Teacher :
  1. Responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 1, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
  2. Teach the Key Stage 1 curriculum to groups of children, focusing on individual learning targets, encouraging strengths, and improving weaknesses.
  3. Further develop maths abilities, including introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  4. Help children develop their writing skills by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  5. Keep track of children's progress and report back to parents as needed.
