Year 1 Teacher | April 2024

Wayman Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Year 1 Teacher to join a reputable primary school in Cambridge, East of England from April 2024. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching in a Year 1 setting. The Year 1 Teacher will work collaboratively with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.

Responsibilities of a Year 1 teacher:

1. Responsible for the pastoral care of children in Key Stage 1, promoting teamwork, and creating a conducive learning environment.
2. Teaching the Key Stage 1 curriculum, focusing on individual learning targets, strengths, and weaknesses.
3. Developing maths skills, including fractions, statistics, and geometry.
4. Supporting children in developing their writing skills through creative storytelling.
5. Tracking children's progress and reporting to parents as needed.
