Your Role as a Year 1 Teacher:

As a key member of our KS1 team, you will be responsible for:

• Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that follow the KS1 curriculum.

• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where children can thrive.

• Leading daily, high-impact phonics lessons to build foundational reading skills.

• Teaching core subjects like English and Mathematics through interactive and creative methods.

• Facilitating curriculum-focused, play-based learning activities.

• Conducting guided reading sessions to develop comprehension and fluency.

• Assessing, monitoring, and recording student progress to inform future planning.

• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents.
