Hays Education are a market-leading recruitment agency. We are working with a Wirral based primary school to recruit a KS1 teacher to work in Year 1 from September 2025. As education specialists, we can support you in finding the right role for you. This post is full-time and for a one-year fixed term in the first instance.

Your new role

As the Year 1 class teacher, you will be responsible for supporting the children and working with a part-time teaching assistant. You will plan and deliver engaging but suitably challenging lessons for a mixed ability group. Although you will be the only Year 1 teacher, you will join a close-knit, hardworking team where you will have the support of your peers to get the best from the children in your care.

What you'll need to succeed

• Have QTS
• Have experience of working with the KS2 curriculum
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be able to plan and deliver lessons that will keep children engaged and on track for their learning journeys
