Looking for a short-term teaching role that still gives you full ownership of your classroom?

We’re working with a welcoming, Ofsted Outstanding primary school in Clifton seeking an experienced and confident KS1 teacher to take on a Year 1 maternity cover from September to December 2025.

This is a full teaching role-you’ll be leading the class, planning lessons, marking, and holding a parents' evening during the term. In short: you’ll be a valued part of the team, not just a placeholder.

What you’ll be doing:

• Teaching a vibrant Year 1 class with full autonomy

• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons

• Tracking progress and marking work with care and consistency

• Communicating clearly with parents, including a scheduled parents’ evening

• Working alongside a friendly KS1 team for shared ideas and support

What we’re looking for:

• Experience teaching KS1—particularly Year 1 or similar

• Someone who thrives in a structured, full-time classroom role

• Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management

• Creative, enthusiastic approach to early years learning
