Looking for a short-term teaching role that still gives you full ownership of your classroom?
We’re working with a welcoming, Ofsted Outstanding primary school in Clifton seeking an experienced and confident KS1 teacher to take on a Year 1 maternity cover from September to December 2025.
This is a full teaching role-you’ll be leading the class, planning lessons, marking, and holding a parents' evening during the term. In short: you’ll be a valued part of the team, not just a placeholder.
Teaching a vibrant Year 1 class with full autonomy
Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons
Tracking progress and marking work with care and consistency
Communicating clearly with parents, including a scheduled parents’ evening
Working alongside a friendly KS1 team for shared ideas and support
Experience teaching KS1—particularly Year 1 or similar
Someone who thrives in a structured, full-time classroom role
Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management
Creative, enthusiastic approach to early years learning
Weekly pay through PAYE (no umbrella faff)
One-to-one support from a dedicated consultant
Free CPD, including phonics, Thrive, and curriculum refreshers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
