Part-Time KS1 Teacher – Year 1/2 Class
Location: DT11 Area, Dorset
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Part-Time (3 days a week), Fixed-Term – Autumn Term

A welcoming and supportive primary school in the DT11 area is seeking a passionate and confident Part-Time Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our team for the Autumn Term, starting September 2025.

About the Role:

  • Class: Mixed Year 1/2 class
  • Timetable: 3 days a week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)
  • Morning: Teaching Year 2 in Phonics, English and Maths
  • Afternoon: Teaching a merged Year 1/2 class
  • Support: 3 experienced Teaching Assistants are allocated between two classes

Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a confident and enthusiastic teacher with a sound understanding of KS1 curriculum
  • Have experience teaching Phonics (essential for mornings) – Read Write Inc. or similar desirable
  • Demonstrate understanding and experience of working with children with SEN
  • Be adaptable, organised and a strong communicator
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
