Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated Year 1/2 Class Teacher for a mixed years group at a welcoming primary school in Southampton. The role is full-time with a start between November 2026 and July 2027, with potential for a permanent opportunity.

You will deliver engaging lessons, promote confidence and curiosity, and support pupil progress within a collaborative leadership team. A UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and an active DBS are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Primary Teacher with experience teaching within KS1.
• Strong understanding of the Year 1 and Year 2 curriculum.
• High expectations for attainment, behaviour and pupil progress.
• Creative and engaging approach to teaching and learning.
• Able to adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND.
• Positive team player who enjoys contributing to school life.
