Job Description:

Yard Transport Supervisor - Haddenham

Pertemps Aylesbury is recruiting for a Yard Transport Supervisor to join our logistics client based in Haddenham.

Salary: up to £32,000 (DOE)

Hours: 5 am-5 pm

Duties:

1. Process inbound & outbound trunk vehicles. Scan loads and report any discrepancies on the freight.
2. Loading of freight onto or off of our delivery vehicles using load sheet manifests.
3. Manage morning loading operation to ensure collection vehicles are unloaded.
4. Keep warehouse & loading yard clean and tidy at all times.
5. Carry out daily pre-use forklift checks.
6. Report to the depot and work with the team to ensure all requirements are carried out and suggest any improvements.
7. Ensure all health & safety and fire instructions, safe systems of work and risk assessments are adhered to at all times.
8. Assist with the warehouse fulfilment operation when required.

Requirements:

1. In-Date Counterbalance Forklift Licence and at least 2 years' experience.
2. Ability to work in a team and individually.
3. A methodical and thorough approach to work ensuring instructions are followed closely.
4. Organised with attention to detail.
5. A desire to show initiative.
6. Good at juggling tasks and prioritising.
7. Ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands.
8. Reliability and honesty.
9. High energy and enthusiasm, thriving in a busy environment.
