This is a DUAL Position
The Warehouse Yard Spotter/Receiver will Safely operate yard trucks to move trailers between yard locations, loading docks, and designated areas.Inspect trailers for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance issues before moving.
Also responsible for receiving merchandise and materials from outside vendors. Responsible for handling, unpacking, or uncrating merchandise and materials for routing or storage in the proper department.
WORK SCHEDULE: SUNDAY - THURSDAY 10:30PM - 7AM
Must be able to read and understand PO’s, packing slips and BOL’s
Read descriptions of items being received
Sort and separate items accurately
Identify any damaged items to avoid receiving into inventory
Break down pallets as needed
Work in a cold environment for long periods of time (30 to 40 degrees)
Monitor yard inventory and communicate with dispatchers and warehouse personnel to prioritize trailer movements.
Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean and orderly yard.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of yard trucks and report any mechanical issues.
Maintain accurate records of trailer movements and equipment usage.
Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with other yard and warehouse duties as assigned.
Be housekeeping friendly and always be cooperative to meet the business needs and open to crosstraining

The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are typically moderate to high.
