YARD SALES ASSISTANT - Monday to Friday, 7am - 4.30pm, and every second Saturday, 8am - 12pm.

We are Travis Perkins, the UK's largest builders merchant, and this role could be perfect for you.

The Branch

You will work alongside great colleagues at our branch on Featherstall Road, Oldham. Your working hours will be 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 7am - 4.30pm (with potential to flex), and alternate Saturdays from 8am - 12pm.

No extensive knowledge of builders merchants is required initially, as we provide plenty of coaching and training to help you succeed and deliver the exceptional service we expect.

The Role

Our success relies on strong customer relationships, so delivering high standards of service is essential. You should be helpful and friendly, likely getting to know our customers by name. Your duties will include working outdoors, processing customer orders, loading/unloading vehicles, and unloading building materials from deliveries. You will also accurately book stock into the branch warehouse, ensuring sufficient turnaround times for vehicles and suppliers. Safety is paramount, so you will adhere to all safety policies and maintain a tidy, safe working environment.

This is a customer-facing role, and we will teach you the rest. You should be:

• Highly adaptable, resilient, and energetic
• Physically active, as the role involves lifting heavy building materials
• Thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Friendly and outgoing, with good face-to-face communication skills
• Experience with forklift operation is a plus, but full training will be provided
