Job summary

Travis Perkins in Cheltenham is seeking a Yard Assistant to support our branch team with daily yard operations and customer help. You will process orders, load and unload vehicles, and ensure stock is safely stored. Experience with forklifts is ideal, but full training is provided.

You will work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, maintaining safety and high service standards for our customers. This role offers a clear path to develop within a nationwide distributor, with sociable daytime

• Able to handle heavy/bulky stock safely.
• Willing to learn forklift operation (training provided).

• You will be based outside, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.


• You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.


• Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry full training is provided


• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

• This is a key customer facing role, so you will need to be enthusiastic and have great interpersonal skills.


• Be confident in your physical ability to process heavy and bulky stock throughout the Yard, within our health and safety guidelines.
