Job summary

Jewson Major Build Solutions in Bury St Edmunds is seeking 2 Yard Sales Advisors to join our branch team. The roles include rotating shifts (Week 1: 05:45–14:30, Week 2: 09:00–18:00) and duties such as loading/unloading goods, operating MHE, and delivering strong customer service.

You will work in a fast-paced yard environment, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and you will participate in ongoing training and development to grow within the role.

Qualifications

• MHE licence, clean driving licence and product knowledge (desirable)
• Practical understanding of health and safety
• Enthusiastic with a positive attitude
• Customer-focused with a commitment to satisfaction and repeat business
• Honest and dependable with integrity
• Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment at all times
• Operate mechanical handling equipment safely and correctly
• Load, unload, store and handle goods in line with company targets
• Follow all health and safety and housekeeping standards
• Complete routine checks accurately and on time
• Pick and load vehicles efficiently, including manual handling tasks
• Support health and safety performance and targets
• Deliver high levels of customer service
• Commit to learning and development within the role
• Carry out additional reasonable duties as required
