Job summary

Huws Gray Queensferry is seeking a Yard Operative/Relief HGV Driver to join our practical team. This varied role focuses on customer service in the yard, receiving deliveries, and helping with loading and unloading to keep deliveries moving on time.

You’ll need a Class 2 licence, and a forklift licence would be a nice extra though not essential. We offer on-the-job training, HIAB certification support, and real opportunities for development within our branch network.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence is required.
• Forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
• Willing to undertake HIAB training provided by us.
• Able to work outdoors and help customers in the yard.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers in the yard.
• Safely receive and organise deliveries, keep the yard tidy and secure.
• Assist with loading/unloading of vehicles as part of the team.
• Occasional local deliveries may be required when cover is needed.
• Maintain stock security and follow safety procedures.
