Job summary

Huws Gray is seeking a Yard Operative for the Porthmadog branch to support day-to-day yard operations outdoors and help customers. You’ll keep stock organised, assist with deliveries, loading and unloading, and maintain a safe, tidy yard.

Training is provided, a great attitude and willingness to pitch in with the team are essential. Forklift licence is a bonus but not required, and flexible working options may be discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Friendly, practical advice to customers in a yard environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team to keep the yard running smoothly.
• Willingness to handle deliveries and load/unload goods safely.

Responsibilities

• Help customers locate products and provide practical guidance.
• Check in deliveries, store items safely and stay organised.
• Load/unload vehicles and coordinate with driving teams.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and secure yard for all staff and customers.
