Yard Operative, New Romney

We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative with an In date Forklift Counterbalance License for a busy client of ours based in New Romney.

As a Yard Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our yard. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the movement, storage, and dispatch of goods and materials, maintaining a clean and organised yard environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift with a counterbalance license to move and organize stock.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movement and storage locations.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with general yard duties, including cleaning and organising.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics team to optimise yard operations.
• Provide support with manual handling tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Valid Forklift Counterbalance License.
• Proven experience as a Yard Operative or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
