Job description

Yard Operative

Location: Brixworth

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour (Overtime paid at 1.5x)

Holidays: 20 days per annum plus Bank Holidays

Impact Recruitment are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative for a valued client within the industrial sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical individual with a strong work ethic and a flexible approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the yard area, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and safety at all times

*

Load and unload machinery from lorries and trailers

*

Clean and paint machinery as required

*

Provide general assistance to Engineers on-site

*

Undertake basic building and site maintenance duties

*

Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately and efficiently

*

Deliver and collect machinery and parts a few days per week

*

Re-fuel and de-fuel machinery in line with safety standards

*

Report any hazards, near misses, or incidents in accordance with company procedures

*

Follow all Health and Safety policies and practices

*

Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the manager

Candidate Requirements:

*

Ideally possess a valid forklift truck licence

*

Clean and full UK driving licence preferred (essential for delivery and collection duties)

*

Previous experience in a similar yard, warehouse, or site maintenance role

*

Good attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork

*

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Proactive attitude and willingness to support other departments when needed
