Job description

My client is currently recruiting for a Yard Operative, you'll be essential in keeping our yard running smoothly. From loading and unloading goods to helping customers and maintaining a clean, safe environment - you'll be right at the heart of the operation.

You will work Monday-Friday 08:30-16:30 paying £12.21 per hour weekly pay

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating forklifts safely and efficiently (counterbalance)
• Loading/unloading customer and supplier vehicles
• Picking and preparing orders for delivery
• Providing excellent customer service in the yard
• Ensuring the yard is kept tidy and safe at all times
• Supporting stock control and inventory manager

• A valid forklift license (essential)
• Previous yard, warehouse or builders' merchant experience (preferred)
• Good level of physical fitness - this is an active role
• A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
