Job summary

West Riding Recruitment is recruiting a Yard/FLT Operative for a leading builders' merchants distribution centre in Doncaster. The role involves outdoor yard work and Counterbalance FLT operation, with hours from 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

You will load and unload wagons, move materials, pick orders, keep the yard tidy and follow health and safety procedures. A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is essential; in-house licences are accepted if still valid.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (in-house licences accepted if still valid).
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT.
• Able to perform physically demanding manual work.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good awareness of health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading delivery wagons
• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Moving building materials around the yard and warehouse
• Picking and preparing customer orders
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised
• Carrying out general yard maintenance and housekeeping
• Working safely and following Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Supporting colleagues to ensure daily workload is completed

Doncaster | £12.71 - £13.00 per hour | Monday-Friday | Temp to Perm

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading builders' merchants distribution centre in Doncaster for a Yard/FLT Operative to join their busy and hardworking team.

If you enjoy hands-on work, don't mind working outdoors, and have a valid Counterbalance FLT licence (valid In-house can be accepted), this is an excellent opportunity to secure a temporary to permanent position with a well-established business.

The Role

This is a busy, physically demanding position where no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in keeping the yard running efficiently, ensuring stock is safely handled and customer orders are prepared for dispatch.

This role is approximately:

• 70% manual yard duties
• 30% Counterbalance FLT operation

What We're Looking For

Essential
