Yard Picking Operative
Location:Wymondham
Pay Rate:£12.50 – £13.50 per hour
Hours:Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours per week)
Contract Type:Full-Time, Temp to Perm

Gap Personnel is recruiting for aYard Picking Operativeto join a busy and supportive team within a well-established manufacturing site. If you enjoy practical work, are forklift trained, and thrive in an outdoor environment – this could be the role for you!

Key Duties:

• Sorting and picking aluminium profiles from customer skips.

• Organising materials into stillages and designated yard areas.

• Operating a forklift to transport materials across the site.

• Assisting with booking in goods and completing basic paperwork.

• Loading and unloading lorries (primarily using forklift).

• Supporting with pre-treatment line loading and general factory duties.

• Performing safe and accurate product runs across departments.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous yard, warehouse, or factory experience preferred.

• Forklift licence is essential (valid counterbalance or reach).

• Reliable, organised, and proactive attitude.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Working Hours:

• Standard:Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Overtime & Weekend Shifts:Available as required

Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate:£12.21 – £13.50 (depending on experience)
