Yard Operative – Builders Merchant (Wheatley)Are you hands-on, reliable, and looking for a role where no two days are the same? A respected and long-established builders merchant is expanding and currently looking for a proactive Yard Operative to join their friendly, customer-focused team.



Hours:Week 1: Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:15

Week 2: Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:15 + Saturday 08:00–12:00

Benefits Include:Hourly pay £12.80 - £13.20

The Role:As a Yard Operative, you’ll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the yard—organising materials, assisting customers, and supporting deliveries. This is a practical, fast-paced role that’s essential to keeping the branch running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently handle and manage stock in the yard

  • Load and unload customer and supplier delivery vehicles

  • Support customers with product information and guidance

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the yard

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Basic understanding of health & safety protocols
