Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Yard Operative to join a busy client in Theale. Responsibilities include rail discharge, plant maintenance, and despatch cover. Ideal candidates should have good knowledge of health and safety and effective communication skills. A background in electrical or mechanical maintenance is desirable. Full training and PPE will be provided on site.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the Rail Industry is desirable.
• Background in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance is desirable.
• Availability for an early start (05:00 AM).
• Own transport preferred due to location and start times.

Responsibilities

• Rail Discharge operations.
• First Line Plant Maintenance tasks.
• Despatch Office Cover responsibilities.

Role Overview

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Rail Discharge
• First Line Plant Maintenance
• Despatch Office Cover

Requirements / Qualifications

• good knowledge of Health and Safety
• working knowledge of the Rail Industry (desirable)
• background in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance (desirable)
• flexibility in their duties undertaken
• availability for an early start (05:00 AM)
• carrying out other tasks on this site or at other sites in the area
• a positive, can-do attitude
• effective communication skills
• own transport will be ideal due to location and start times

Full training and PPE will be provided on site.
