Job summary

People Solutions is seeking a Yard Operative to join a client based in Rushden, Northampton. This temporary role offers immediate starts and a flexible 5-days-out-of-7 shift pattern with 10 or 12 hour days.

You'll handle incoming stock, move goods in the warehouse and work with food products, including raw meat. The position rewards reliability, teamwork and a can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack food products, including raw meat.
• Jet wash vehicles using a pressure washer on weekends.
• Move goods within the warehouse.
• Repackaging food items as required.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and keep work areas clean.
• Report safety concerns to management.
• Maintain clear routes and tidy work areas.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Yard Operative - Northampton

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join our well-established clientbased in Rushden, Northampton.

This is a temporary opportunity for the right candidate, with immediate starts available.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Yard Worker, Yard Laboureror Logistics Yard Operative.

Shifts

• 5 days out of 7 (flexible)
• 10 or 12 Hour Shifts (06:00-18:00 or 07:00-17:00)

Rates of Pay:£13.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

• Receiving and unpacking all sorts of food products, including raw meat
• Jet washing using a pressure washer Saturday and Sunday to clean vehicles
• Moving goods within the warehouse
• Receiving and unpacking all sorts of food products, including raw meat
• Reworking & repackaging food items
• Adhering to Health & Safety at all times and promoting a safe working environment
• Reporting any safety concerns or issues to Management
• Clearing and cleaning work areas of any waste and keeping routes clear of obstructions
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills

• Must have full RTW documents
• You must be prepared to work with raw meat and all other food products
• Punctuality and good time-keeping skills
• Strong teamwork skills
• Flexibility and ability to work overtime as and when required
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to deadlines

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working in a yard or labouring environment
