Years is a fast-scaling dog-food start-up focused on fresh, personalized meals delivered to customers across the UK, with ambitions to scale internationally. This role sits in the Hygiene and Warehouse team, ensuring the yard and external areas are clean, safe, and well-organised on a day-to-day basis.

You’ll work outdoors in all weather, handle baling equipment, and take ownership of waste management and site organisation, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate baling equipment or be willing to learn.
• Ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
• Knowledge of manual handling and safe lifting practices.
• Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Bale cardboard and plastic waste using provided equipment.
• Keep the skip area tidy and waste in correct skip.
• Maintain clean yard and clear debris during shift.
• Collect unused tarpaulins and store properly.
• Tidy equipment after use and return to storage.
• Flag damaged equipment or hygiene issues to supervisor.
• Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support wider hygiene and housekeeping tasks as needed.

Your Mission

You'll keep our yard and external site areas clean, tidy, and well- organised, making sure waste is managed properly and equipment is stored safely. This is a genuinely hands- on role that plays a real part in keeping the site safe, compliant, and running smoothly, day in and day out. You'll work within our Hygiene and Warehouse team, helping keep the wider site safe, clean, and organised from the outside in, reporting to the Operations Manager and taking real ownership of the yard's day- to- day cleanliness and organisation - a role where your work genuinely sets the tone for the rest of the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Bale cardboard and plastic waste using the equipment provided, ensuring bales are properly formed, secured, and ready for collection


• Keep the skip area tidy at all times, making sure waste goes into the right skip and the surrounding area stays clear


• Keep the yard clean and tidy throughout the shift, clearing debris, litter, and waste as it builds up


• Collect unused tarpaulins from around the site and store them properly in the designated area


• Tidy equipment away after use, making sure everything is returned to its correct storage spot


• Quickly flag any damaged equipment, overflowing skips, or hygiene issues to the Shift/Hygiene Manager


• Follow site health & safety procedures at all times, including the safe use of baling equipment and manual handling


• Pitch in on wider hygiene and housekeeping tasks across the site as needed
