Foyne Jones is recruiting on behalf of a well-established building materials company in Newbury for an experienced Yard Foreman. This hands-on role places you at the heart of day-to-day yard operations, serving customers, preparing orders, and ensuring safe, efficient material movement.

You will operate wheeled loading shovels and forklifts, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with colleagues during busy periods.

We're delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established business in the building materials sector, who are looking for an experienced Yard Foreman to join their team in Newbury.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be right at the heart of the day-to-day yard operation, from serving customers and preparing orders through to operating machinery and ensuring the yard runs safely and efficiently.

The Role of Yard Foreman

• Serve trade customers and members of the public, helping with loading vehicles and providing a friendly, efficient service.
• Operate wheeled loading shovels and forklifts to load and unload vehicles, move materials and prepare customer orders.
• Keep the yard clean, organised and safe, ensuring customers and colleagues follow the correct site safety procedures.

Benefits of the Yard Foreman position

• £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Overtime paid at time and a half

What We're Looking For

• An experienced and qualified wheeled loading shovel and forklift operator who is confident working around heavy materials and machinery.
• A practical, hands-on individual who enjoys being active and isn't afraid to get stuck in, particularly during busy periods.
• A reliable team player with good communication skills, comfortable dealing with both trade customers and members of the public.
