Job summary

BSW Group is seeking an experienced FLT Driver for their Upwood site. You will operate industrial forklifts to move raw materials and finished products across the site, including loading/unloading vehicles and kilns when needed.

Role requires completing pre‑operation checks, logging faults, and ensuring pallets and packaging are available to maintain production quality. A current counterbalance licence and strong safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial forklifts to move raw materials and finished products.
• Current counterbalance licence or site-specific counterbalance licence.
• Demonstrates high level of Health and Safety awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move raw materials and finish products around the site, including loading and unloading vehicles and kilns if required.
• Perform daily pre-operating checks and report faults via Defect Report.
• Ensure timber, pallets and packaging are available to maximise production and maintain quality.

Job description

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 with a 1 hour unpaid break per day

Your role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an FLT Driver to join our Manufacturing team at our Upwood site.

This role will be responsible for operating industrial forklifts trucks to move both raw materials and finish products around the site, including the loading and unloading of vehicles and kilns (if required). You will operate your forklift truck in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

You will be responsible for completing daily pre-operating checks before using your truck, recording and reporting all faults on a Defect Report and ensure timber, pallets and packaging are available as required to maximise production and ensure quality and customer standards are met.

You will play a key role in representing the company professionally when dealing with all internal and external stakeholders and treat all fellow colleagues with respect and behave in a way that allows all staff to complete their work without disruption.

As an experienced FLT Driver you will hold a current counterbalance FLT licence or site-specific counterbalance licence, demonstrate high level of Health and Safety awareness whilst having great attention to detail. A can-do attitude and excellent communication skills are key to success.
