Job summary

MGF Limited is seeking a Yard Manager at our Stanton depot in Bury St Edmunds to oversee the safe operation of the yard and associated activities. The role includes supervising yard, workshop and driver personnel, maintaining equipment standards and ensuring efficient, compliant processes.

Ideal candidates will have IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent), strong IT skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings within a construction/groundworks environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising and motivating teams.
• Strong communication skills at all levels.
• Proficiency in MS Word/Excel and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety best practices are followed.
• Organise yard, workshop and driver personnel for efficiency and safety.
• Maintain equipment & stock quality across the depot.
• Oversee loading, dispatch and stock control of equipment.
• Record and manage yard costs and expenditure.
