SMT GB in Immingham is seeking a hands-on Yard Person to keep our machinery, equipment and yard facilities organised and maintained. This is a full-time role that supports the smooth operation and timely deliveries.

You will prepare and valet machines, book into the depot, inspect visually, manage yard space, load/unload, and work with transport providers. A proactive, detail-oriented team player with a driving or forklift licence would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in yard/warehouse/transit/ outdoor operations.
• Understanding of construction equipment/heavy machinery or similar plant.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while being reliable in a team.
• Good communication and proactive approach.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and valet machines to high standard for delivery.
• Book machines into the depot, perform visual inspections and assign storage locations.
• Manage yard space efficiently and ensure safe storage of equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard environment.
• Load and unload machinery, coordinate with transport providers for delivery schedules.
• Support courier movements and keep records of deliveries and collections.
