Job summary

Freightliner is recruiting a Multi Skilled Operative to support the Southampton yard operations. You will load and unload HGVs, shunt containers, and operate lifting equipment with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

No prior experience required beyond the listed qualifications; comprehensive training will be provided to operate all lifting equipment and internal systems. This full-time role offers a pension scheme and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Strong emphasis on health and safety compliance.
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Service vehicles with correct containers and in a timely manner.
• Stack shipping containers.
• Ensure containers are shunted to and from terminal in a timely manner.
• Operate container handling equipment safely and effectively.
• Communicate with yard team and container controllers for accurate timing and availability.
• Maintain H&S standards.
