Job summary

Freightliner Group Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative at our Southampton yard. You will load and unload HGV containers, shuttle containers around the terminal, and operate lifting equipment ranging from 2.5 to 72 tonnes. A full UK driving licence is required.

The role demands a proactive team player willing to work 50 hours per week on rotating shifts (6am-4pm or 8am-6pm). Previous forklift or container industry experience is welcome but not essential as full training is provided, with DBS

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
• Good teamwork and adherence to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload HGV containers in the yard.
• Stack shipping containers safely and efficiently.
• Shunt containers to and from the terminal and operate container handling equipment.
• Drive TUG equipment as required.
• Coordinate with yard team for container timing and availability.
• Maintain health and safety standards at all times.
