Job Description: Yard Assistant / Van Driver

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Assistant / Van Driver to join our team. In this role, you will work as part of our external staff team, providing excellent customer service and supporting our operations.

1. Assist customers by providing excellent customer service.
2. Load and unload vehicles, pick and check orders, and store stock safely.
3. Maintain a tidy and safe working environment.
4. Make multi-drop deliveries in a transit or box van around the surrounding area.
5. Assist in the warehouse with customer orders.

Requirements:

• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Counterbalance Forklift license is advantageous.
• Building material / builders merchant industry knowledge is beneficial.
• Ability to work alternate Saturday mornings.

As a yard assistant / van driver, you will be the face of MKM to many of our customers. Therefore, you should be of smart appearance (uniform provided), have a positive, friendly, and helpful manner, and be hardworking and enthusiastic.
