A builders' merchant in Hastings is seeking a Yard Assistant to manage tasks such as loading goods, checking deliveries, and maintaining stock. Established in 1882, Alsford Timber Ltd is the largest Timber and Builders' Merchant in South East England, with 19 branches across Kent, Surrey, London, East Sussex, and West Sussex. We take pride in our long-standing tradition of quality and durability.
Please note: Due to the nature of our products, this position involves regular manual handling and heavy lifting. Experience in a merchant environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and every other Saturday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
