Mt Pleasant School is seeking an experienced and passionate Y7–8 team leader to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an educator who is either in a leadership role already and is looking for a change or new challenge, or someone who is ready to step up into a leadership role and contribute to a vibrant, supportive, and forward-thinking school community.

Role and responsibilities

As the Y7–8 team leader, you will not only lead your team but also model best practices in teaching and learning. You will be responsible for supporting and mentoring staff, and ensuring high-quality education for all students in your team.

We are looking for a leader who:

• Has a strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum, holds a NZ teacher registration and NZ work visa.
• Has some knowledge of the IB PYP framework, but this is not essential - we are keen to grow learners and leaders here at Mt Pleasant
