XYZ Machinist

• Set up and operate the XYZ Mill for manual and CNC (hybrid) machining tasks.
• Perform precision machining operations, adhering to quality standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and troubleshoot any issues.
• Collaborate with the team to manage workloads.
• Carry out any self-inspection tasks.

Requirements:

• Experience in both manual and CNC (hybrid) machining is essential.
• Prior experience with XYZ Mills is highly desirable.
• Tool making experience is advantageous.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

This role requires strong machining and engineering experience; formal qualifications are not. The position offers a pay rate of around £14 an hour.

This is a full-time contract role, meaning 37 hours a week on a contract through FPR. FPR is acting as a Recruitment Business.
