Pharmaron Hoddesdon is seeking a Materials Characterisation Scientist to apply XRPD, DSC, TGA, DVS, microscopy and PSD in support of API development and formulations. You will collaborate with Process Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Analytical Chemistry colleagues in a GMP environment.

Qualifikationen

• Requires MSc in Chemistry or related with experience in Materials Characterisation.
• Significant expertise in XRPD, DSC, TGA, DVS, microscopy and PSD.
• Knowledge of crystallisation methodologies and data analytics desirable.
• Experience with data visualisation tools is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Help clients define their final salt and polymorphic form through full materials characterisation assessment.
• Run salt and polymorph screens using High Throughput Experimentation.
• Map the polymorph landscape for final APIs and identify the thermodynamically stable form.
• Support crystallisation process definition by characterising starting materials, intermediates and APIs.
• Assess solubility in various media.
• Carry out solid‑state and solution‑based stability evaluations.
• Support preformulation assessment of final phases.
• Work in project teams to tight deadlines.
• Learn new techniques as needed and solve scientific problems.
