Job summary

A-One Direct Recruitment Limited is seeking X5 part-time weekend Class 1 Drivers for refrigerated distribution across UK locations. The role is mainly driving with 10–12 hour shifts, including day, night and weekend hours, with some start-time flexibility and immediate starts for suitable candidates.

Candidates must hold a full Class 1 licence, valid Digital Tachograph and CPC, and have no more than 6 points (or DD/DR endorsements). LGV rules and good geographical knowledge are required.

• Compliant to all rules and regulations within LGV driving.
• Good roadcraft/ Geographical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to RDCs and collections from farms.
• Shifts are 10–12 hours; start times may vary; overnight and weekend work possible.
• Primarily a driving role with minimal handling of loads.

Job description

Our client based in Sittingbourne & Maidstone are currently looking for X5 part time weekend Class 1 Drivers.

The role will entail:

• Refrigerated distribution across a variety of locations.
• Delivering to RDC's and collections to and from farms.
• The shifts are on average 10 to 12 hours long.
• Some flexibility for start times as they may vairy.
• Mainly a driving role with minimal handling of the load.

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Full Class 1 Driving licence (minimum of 1 year Class 1 experience).
• Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
• No more than 6 points or have the following endorsement codes showing (DD or DR).
• Compliant to all rules and regulations within LGV driving.
• Good roadcraft/ Geographical knowledge.

Shifts are available over a seven day period Sunday to Saturday with the following shifts bands:

• Morning start times 01.00 - 11.00 hours
• Afternoon start times 12.00 – 18.00 hours.
• Night shift start times 19.00+ hours to midnight

Our client offers long term work between Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday.

All candidates are required to pass our clients assessment prior to commencing which includes a written and practical driving test. (2-3-hour assessments are being held between Monday to Friday on days/ nights)

Pay Rates:

• Days - £17.12 p.h. Monday to Friday.
• Nights - £18.25 p.h. Monday to Friday.
• Saturday – Day £20.50 p.h./ Night £21.22 p.h.
• Sunday + Bank Holiday – Day £24.21 p.h./ Nights £26.52 p.h.

New Drivers to the industry with at least 1 year Class 1 experience are welcome to apply.
