Job summary

TipTopJob in Southampton is seeking two DBS-checked school cleaners for SO30 2HT with an immediate start. Pay is GBP12.71 per hour, and shifts run Monday to Friday from 3pm to 7pm. An enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List is required.

Responsibilities include cleaning allocated areas, operating cleaning machinery, deep cleaning toilets, replenishing supplies, and ensuring areas are secure at the end of each shift.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated areas of the school site as allocated by the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Use cleaning materials as instructed.
• Operate cleaning machinery on soft and hard surfaces (e.g., vacuum cleaners and polishers).
• Vacuum clean floors (hard and soft).
• Spot clean spillages.
• Wipe furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polish glass surfaces.
• Empty and clean bins.
• Clean toilets and sanitary fittings.
• Mop and spray clean hard floor surfaces.
• Wipe and polish furniture and straighten items.
• Restock janitorial supplies in toilets and other areas.
• Check and close windows and switch off lights after work.

Job duties

• cleaning certain parts of the school site as allocated by the Cleaning Supervisor (this will vary from time to time)
• Use cleaning materials as instructed.
• Operate cleaning machinery in cleaning soft and hard surfaces e.g. vacuum cleaners and polishers;
• Vacuum cleaning hard and soft floors;
• Spot cleaning of spillages;
• Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass;
• Emptying and cleaning bins;
• Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds;
• Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces;
• Wiping and polishing and straightening furniture;
• Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets etc.;
• Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work;
