Job summary

PPM Recruitment seeks X2 DBS School Cleaners for SO30 2HT. Immediate start, 3pm–7pm, Mon–Fri, at a school site in Hedge End. Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List is mandatory. Pay rate is £12.71 per hour with typical school cleaning duties performed under supervision.

Responsibilities include cleaning various areas of the site, operating cleaning machinery, and restocking supplies while maintaining hygiene standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS with Children barred List check is required.
• Experience in school cleaning preferred.
• Ability to follow supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

• Use cleaning materials as instructed and operate cleaning machinery.
• Vacuum floors, mop, wipe surfaces, and empty bins as part of daily duties.
• Inspect and secure premises, switch off lights after cleaning.

YOU MUST HAVE AN ENHANCED DBS WITH CHILDREN'S BARRED LIST CHECK

Payrate: £12.71 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 3pm till 7pm

Job duties - cleaning certain parts of the school site as allocated by the Cleaning Supervisor (this will vary from time to time) Use cleaning materials as instructed. Operate cleaning machinery in cleaning soft and hard surfaces e.g. vacuum cleaners and polishers;

• Vacuum cleaning hard and soft floors;
• Spot cleaning of spillages;
• Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass;
• Emptying and cleaning bins;
• Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds;
• Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces;
• Wiping and polishing and straightening furniture;
• Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets etc.;
• Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work;
