The team:
Would you like to support andprovide governance and oversight of Engineering decisions that affect the Platform and Auxiliary systems of the complex warships that are supported in Portsmouth. We currently have a vacancy for aWTA Platform & Auxiliary Systems Principal Engineer.
As Principal Engineer you will undertake a defined range of engineering activities in line with the extant Common Support Model Work Breakdown Structure, the CSM Business Processes and relevant BAES Business Management Processes/Procedures. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the design intent and safety of platform and auxiliary systems and to collate the assurance evidence of this for the respective WAA while working under the definitive engineering authority of the appropriate Class Lead Engineer (CLE).
In addition to this, this role sits as part of the wider WTA team supporting all RN complex warships. As such there will be the opportunity to provide support to all classes including T45, QEC, Hunt and T23 as required.
