Pay Rate: Minimum starting rate of £12.31 per hour

Shift Rate: Additional 20% of basic salary

Hours: Double Day shifts alternated weekly. Running 1 week on “earlies” 6.15am till 2.15pm (8hr day with one 30-minute lunch break) 37.5hrs per week. Then rotating to 1 week on “lates” 1.45pm till 22.15pm Monday to Thursday (8.5hr days with one 30 min break), then Friday 1.45pm till 7.15pm (5.5hrs no break on this day) 37.5hrs per week

You’ll be part of the fantastic Zebra Wristband team that builds wristband cartridges for our Healthcare customers including the NHS. You will be assembling multiple small components into a cartridge then testing, labelling, and boxing them ready for shipment, all within our world class Manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

Some of your duties will include:

  • Working within a small assembly team
  • Completing various assembly sections of a wristband cartridge across 3 different stations
  • Assembling, clamping, testing, labelling, and packing cartridges
  • Using a PC and operating various printers (training provided)
  • Following instructions and procedures on each customer job jacket
  • Operating mechanical equipment (training provided)
  • Following a shipping list with required dates for orders
  • Ensuring product quality upon receipt
  • Operating power industrial trucks such as electric and manual pallet trucks (training and certification provided)
  • Adhering to Health & Safety guidelines and processes

Additional requirements include:

  • Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching during shifts
  • Using trolleys or hand trucks for moving items
  • Going up and down stairs where applicable
  • Completing overtime when needed
  • Good dexterity and attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • Prior assembly experience (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Basic IT skills
