Role: Wrapping Machine Operator

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, pm - am

Location: Carlisle, Church Street, Cumbria, CA TG

Role objectives:

Wrapping Machine Minders are responsible for product and process delivery, working closely with supervisors to meet production plans. Tasks include operating machinery, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safety. Flexibility and good communication are essential; training will be provided.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform pre-start checks
• Ensure product quality and specifications
• Understand and set up equipment
• Complete changeovers and re-work procedures
• Adjust machinery to maintain quality
• Accurately complete documentation
• Maintain safety standards
• Conduct shift handovers
• Train peers and new staff
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance
• Coordinate daily tasks and communicate issues

The environment is fast-paced, noisy, and warm.

• Positive attitude and adaptability

Desirable but not essential: previous manufacturing experience, knowledge of HACCP, understanding of KPIs.
