Job summary

The Dorset Council UK is seeking a Wraparound Club Assistant to support our after‑school care provision at our school in Verwood. The role focuses on safeguarding children, helping with activities, and supervising meals and snacks to create a safe, engaging environment.

The position runs five afternoons per week, 15:00–18:15 during term time. We value warmth, teamwork, good communication, and a commitment to the wellbeing and development of children in our care.

Qualifications

• Be able to build a strong and appropriate rapport with children;
• Demonstrate the aptitude to work as part of a successful team;
• Have effective communication skills;
• Be able to support children in their play, while maintaining the children's safety and following the school's behaviour guidelines;
• Be able to demonstrate good food hygiene practices and follow the school health and safety policies

Job description

We are seeking to appoint a Wraparound Club Assistant to start as soon as possible.

This position is to be worked across five afternoons per week, between the hours of 15.00-18.15pm, term time only.

We Are Looking For a Warm And Caring Individual To Support Our Wrap Around Care Facility At Our School. The Key Purpose Of The Job Is To:

• Preparing and assisting with activities for the children on site
• Supervising any relevant meals/snacks required
